ASHEVILLE, N.C. - GS Laboratory Equipment (GSLE), an operating unit of SPX (NYSE SPX) today announced the forthcoming registration to ISO 9001 by Underwriters Laboratories, an accredited ISO9000 registrar.

The ISO 9001 registration assures that all GSLE design, manufacturing and sales processes adhere to the internationally recognized quality standard. Registration signifies quality assurance throughout all phases of the manufacturing and sales process. In attaining ISO registration, GSLE underscores a company-wide commitment to quality design, manufacture, documentation and technical support of ultra-low and cryogenic freezers, laboratory refrigerators and freezers, CO2 incubators, laboratory ovens, furnaces and water baths. All phases of the product cycle, from design and development through production and customer service are integrated into the system.

Because quality management includes purchasing, all raw materials, parts acquired from vendors, and packaging must meet defined standards, with full accountability from material acquisition to finished product delivery to GSLE customers. All test equipment undergoes regular traceable calibration to assure accuracy.
