Our New HEPA Filter
Option Controls CO2 Incubator Contamination From
The Inside Out!
Continuous Scrubbing Removes Airborne
Particulates; Gentle Air Flow Maintains Desired Still Air Environment For Optimum Cell
Culture Conditions
When routine door openings expose cell cultures to airborne
particulates from your lab, optional HEPA filtration on Revco CO2 incubators can
dramatically improve air quality and protect cultures from contamination.
Simple and Effective
Continuous scrubbing helps trap airborne particulates
greater or less than 0.3 microns, minimizing contamination from room air during door
openings, helping control cross contamination within the chamber.
- The HEPA filter cleans the chamber atmosphere without high
velocity airflow detrimental to the still air cell culture technique.
- The filter surface area is maximized to contain particulate
build-up within the humidified incubator atmosphere.
- The disposable filter assembly snaps into the airflow prior
to the blower; the filter is easy to replace, no tools are required, downtime is minimal.
- Also designed for quick, easy installation on many earlier
model Revco incubators; contact Revco for details.
- Replacement filter kits include four (4) disposable filter
assemblies (Catalog No. 6591; contact Revco for factory installation or retrofit part
numbers).

Application Note:
HEPA (High Efficiency Particulate Air) filters trap particulates smaller than (and greater
than) the most penetrating particle size (0.3 microns) through the combined effect of
inertial impaction, interception and diffusion. Although useful filter life and filter
loading rate will vary, depending on general air quality, frequency of door openings,
laboratory technique and incubator applications, Revco recommends filter replacement as
part of your ongoing maintenance procedures.
