Introduction To Inventory Systems
Optional alarm and monitoring systems, temperature recorders, and LN₂ /CO₂ back-up systems offer an added measure of protection to match your storage application.

Stainless steel interior surfaces, available as an option on some models may have slightly different thermal characteristics than original powder paint interiors
Alarms, monitors and back-up systems which are hard-wire connected to the freezer electrical system will have a slight affect on listed amperage ratings; in some cases, an accessory will require a power source with greater breaker capacity than listed in the freezer specification

Serial number tags on all Revco freezers contain model numbers and voltage information needed for accurate selection of accessories ordered for field installation.

It is recommended that accessories be ordered when your freezer is ordered
Factory installed accessories allow proper set-up without power-down or emptying the freezer

Validation Testing Program
Revco validation testing services in advance of shipment can accelerate in-house FDA Installation Qualification (IQ) and Operation Qualification (OQ) programs upon delivery. Revco factory validation services include documentation and performance reports, compressor and sub-system component specifications, microprocessor flow diagrams, software specifications and more. Validation must be requested when ordering; for details contact Revco.

Certification of Calibration
Revco control, alarm and temperature recording systems are systematically calibrated at the factory for accurate performance. An optional Certificate of Calibration to an NIST traceable instrument (National Institute of Standards and Technology, formerly National Bureau of Standards) includes a model number and serial number certificate, single point calibration. Multiple point calibration available. Calibration certificates must be requested when ordering; for details contact Revco.

Temperature Recorders
All 6" (15.2 cm) circular chart, 7-day temperature recorders use pressure-sensitive chart paper; 1 box of 50 charts included. n No inking is required

Built-in, panel mounted recorders are factory installed (specify when ordering)
Free-standing recorders are customer installed

Back-Up Systems
Back-up systems inject liquid CO₂ or LN₂ on demand when cabinet temperature warms to a pre-set level

Built-in back-up systems are available on Ultima II and Elite models only
All Ultima II, Elite and Value Series 3.1 cu.ft. (88 liters) -86°C models require a free-standing back-up system
Liquid flow is shut off automatically when the freezer door or lid is opened
Activation setpoints are adjustable in 1°C increments, to -75°C for CO₂ and -150°C for LN₂
The control module digital display shows actual temperature when button is pushed
An indicator light glows when activated
The system operates on a continually recharged battery, and includes all hardware except the supply cylinder

Surge Suppressor
A built-in surge suppressor is standard on Ultima II Series models. A free-standing surge suppressor is available for Elite and Value Series models and requires field installation by a qualified electrician or factory authorized service center. Freezer model number and voltage must be specified when ordering.

Alarm Delay Module
The alarm delay eliminates nuisance alarms due to inter-mittent or transitory conditions such as lightning or brief power outages. The adjustable delay requires an alarm condition to exist continuously for a pre-determined time (adjustable) before a signal is released to a central alarm/moni-toring system or telephone dialer.

Adjustable delay from 0.5 to 32 minutes
Red alarm indicator light remains flashing after transient condition is corrected; requires manual reset
Signals chronic alarm conditions which may indicate impending component failure; allows time for inspection or corrective maintenance
Inserts variable time interval between detection of alarm condition and transmission of signal
Includes accurate digital timing circuit adjustable from 0.5, 1, 2, 4, 8, 18 or 32 minutes
Operates independent of line power; built-in battery and alarm test function uses 9V battery, customer supplied

Deluxe Electronic Remote Alarm
The Revco deluxe electronic remote alarm can be programmed to sound an alarm in the event of a temperature increase or power failure.

The alarm can dial up to 4 telephone numbers
Advises of an alarm condition across any telephone system which accepts pulse dialing
One system can monitor up to 4 individual freezers or up to 3 groups of freezers

Digital Temperature Monitor
Simple, accurate and cost effective, the Revco digital tempera-ture and power moni-tor provides both alarm/monitoring and digital temperature display in a single, self-contained unit. Standard features include high alarm, alarm mute and chirp, audio delay timer, remote alarm contacts (SPDT), nicad battery back-up, and low voltage AC power supply, 120V, AC.

The monitor can be installed on or adjacent to any freezer
Activates an audible and visual warning in case of power failure or overtemperature condition
Choose from single probe digital models, or multiple probe microprocessor-based models
Temperature range is -100°C to +25°C

RS-232 Data Port and Software
For microprocessor-based Elite Series freezers only, standard on Ultima II models. Allows computer monitoring of freezer performance

Monitors freezer setpoint, high and low limit setpoints and power supply
Advises of temperature deviation, voltage boost, surge intercept, low alarm battery and clean filter functions
Automatic status reports are adjustable in increments of 5 seconds to 2 hours

Cabinet Pass-Thru Port
Each Revco ultra-low and cryogenic freezer includes a 1" diameter (2.54 cm) pass-thru port as standard equipment. Additional ports for probes, cables, leads or measuring instruments may be added. Additional ports are 1" diameter (2.54 cm) unless otherwise specified.

LabCooler® Cryopreservation Modules
Modules are useful in providing nominal control over pulldown during initial freeze cycles, and maintaining temperature stability of stored samples in vials during handling.

LabCooler™ and LabCooler™ Lite preservation modules are designed to freeze mammalian and insect cells with greater control over pulldown freezing prior to storage in an ultra-low freezer
Typical pulldown rates of 0.4°C to 0.6°C per minute improve cell viability from 80% to 90% ¹
