The Revco selection of general purpose laboratory
refrigerators offers seven basic cabinet sizes to fit a variety of space needs and storage
volume requirements. All refrigerators are designed and constructed to meet UL and CSA
criteria for safety and performance.
Revco laboratory refrigerators incorporate specially
designed controls, directional air-flow systems, cabinet construction and extra-strength
refrigeration compressors selected for industrial, clinical and scientific use. These
products are superior to commercial food service refrigerators which are not recommended
for life science or laboratory applications.
Revco REL Series lab refrigerators are designed for
non-critical storage, not for blood storage. See blood storage refrigerators elsewhere in

Temperature Control
Adjustable temperature control, range +1° C to +8°C, factory pre-set to +4°C.
Digital
temperature display, resolution to within 1.0°C.
Key operated
on/off switch for security.
Interior cabinet
lights with door activated on/off switch (plus independent switch on control panel for
23.3 cu.ft. and larger models.) Model REL-4504 has independent switch activated lights
only and undercounter model REL-504 does not have lights.
Cabinet Construction and Inventory

High
density CFC-free urethane foam insulation protects cabinet from ambient temperature
fluctuations and minimizes operating costs.
Positive,
forced-air circulation to maintain temperature uniformity at all shelf levels.
Directional air
flow assures quick recovery after door openings.
Self-closing
doors close against closed-cell peripheral gasket.
Door locking
provision on all models.
Full-length door
handle(s) on models 23.3 cu.ft. and larger (except sliding door model REL-4504).
Adjustable
leveling feet.
Zinc-plated,
open wire shelves, adjustable in 1" increments; no tools required.
Refrigeration System
Heavy
duty, industrial-grade, hermetically sealed compressors with extra sound insulation to
minimize noise.
Automatic
defrost maintains optimum cooling capacity.

condensate removal; no drain lines required.

Electronic alarm system, factory installed.

safeguard to protect refrigeration system during low voltage conditions.

Temperature Recorders
Optional temperature recorder, 7-day chart drive, single pen,
provides permanent record of storage conditions. Six-inch recorders utilize pressure
writing chart paper; no inking is required. The 4" recorder utilizes an inked pen.
