| Refrigerated Transporters LabCoolerŽ Transport/Storage Modules
LabCoolerŽ Transport/Storage Modules are available for cryogenic and
ultra-low temperature storage as well as conventional freezer storage. Modules are useful
in maintaining temperature stability of stored samples in vials during handling, and
greater control over pull-down during initial freeze cycles.
Choose from LabCoolerŽ Cryopreservation Modules in two sizes, as well as LabCoolerŽ
Benchtop Coolers, also in two sizes.
LabCoolerŽ and LabCoolerŽ Lite
Cryopreservation Modules
The LabCoolerŽ and LabCoolerŽ Lite
preservation modules are designed to freeze mammalian and insect cells with greater
control over pull-down freezing prior to storage in an ultra-low temperature freezer.
Typical pulldown rates of 0.4°C to 0.6°C per minute improve cell viability from 80% to
90%.
Available in two sizes, LabCoolerŽ and LabCoolerŽ Lite,
these modules hold up to 7 or 32 standard vials with caps, and fit conveniently into an
ultra-low temperature freezer.
Protocol1
- Cells suspended in tissue-culture freeze medium (e.g. 95% FCS,5% DMSO cooled to -20°C)
are transferred to cryovials which are then placed in the pre-chilled (+4°C) LabCoolerŇ Cryopreservation Module.
- The Module is then placed in an ultra-low temperature freezer (i.e. -85°C to -150°C)
for long term storage.
